It’s been a busy couple of weeks around here!
Between Christmas shopping, baking, recovering from the world’s longest cold, and, oh yeah, teaching, I haven’t been blogging quite as often as I’d like to be. But that doesn’t mean I’m not keeping up with some of my favorite Pittsburgh blogs.
Here are a few posts I’ve been loving:
Jessa nails it in this post about taking ownership when considering oneself a writer. I’ve shared this post with quite a few of my writer (and non-writer!) friends already. Head over to Wavy Alabaster to read her beautifully written piece.
Sarah and Nick, the cutest blogging couple around tahn, just redid their basement with the coolest ceiling tiles I’ve ever seen. So cool, in fact, that Home Depot featured it on their blog, too!
If you said, “I’ll bring dessert!” and now you’re scrambling, head to Ashley’s blog to check out her deceivingly simple and ridiculously cute Christmas tree brownies that everyone will be talking about long after the A Christmas Story marathon ends.
Yup, you read that correctly. This insanely-packed-with-ooey-gooey-goodness recipe comes from my friend (and How Sweet Eats team member) Katy, and I can personally vouch for her baking skillz. With a Z. They’re that good. I’m making these cookies on Christmas Eve!
Lauren, Ashley (Christmas-tree brownie Ashley from Afternoon Espresso!), Zoe, and Kim are quite honestly some of the sweetest and most adorable bloggers in the ‘burgh, so you cannot miss this post! Lauren has some excellent suggestions that double as a friendly reminder to relax a bit this holiday season. And we can all use a little R&R, right?
What are you up to this week? Any last minute shopping/wrapping/baking? All of the above (like me!)? Whatever you’re doing, I hope you take some time for yourself before the holiday craziness begins!
