Here in Pittsburgh, we’re in that weird part of the year that’s sort of almost spring.
It could be 70 degrees one day and 26 degrees the next. In fact, that’s happened multiple times over the last couple of weeks. If this wacky weather is giving you wardrobe whiplash, then I have a cool spring weather outfit idea for you today.
This dress is perfect for springtime! The floral pattern isn’t too big, and it isn’t too teensy. And the colors are absolute perfection. The pinks and corals pop against the navy, while the light blues and greens give the pattern a bit of depth. The trapeze cut of the dress, along with the keyhole neckline keep it on-trend, yet I imagine that this dress is classic enough to have wardrobe staying power for years.
I paired the trapeze dress with a faux fur vest (this one is quite similar and is under $35!) for a bit of warmth, as well as to break up the pattern a bit on my smaller frame. I can definitely wear this dress on its own, but I wanted my outfit to have a bit of a boho vibe to it, so this vest was the perfect start! To add a bit more texture, I added a faux suede fringe bag (mine is a “free with purchase!” gift from Victoria’s Secret last year, but this one is super similar, and who doesn’t love a great designer bag on sale?) My booties are my go-to transitional shoes. They’re perfect with this dress, but I’m constantly wearing them with jeans, too! And the sunnies just add a bit of femininity and fun. Plus, they’re one of this season’s hottest blush hues, and they’re a steal at under $15.

PS…how cool is that pink bench? Pittsburgh has such awesome little gems hidden in the city and its surrounding neighborhoods. This one is just outside The Vandal, in Lawrenceville!
Have a great week!
